About this whisky
- Region:
Port Charlotte MRC:01 is a powerfully elegant single malt, born from heavily peated barley – around 40ppm – and distilled in Bruichladdich’s unique tall stills. This 7-year-old expression pays homage to the historic Lochindaal distillery, once known as Port Charlotte, which ceased production in 1929, representing the first spirit distilled by Murray McDavid in 2001. Expect a robust character with a complex interplay of peat smoke and refined spirit. Bottled at a commanding 59.2% ABV, it delivers an intense and memorable taste of Islay.
