Tullibardine Distillery is located in Perthshire on the edge of the Scottish highlands and has a long history of distilling and brewing, as far back as the mid 15th century and employs traditional methods in its distillation process. It also has a large copper bulb shaped still which it claims gives the flavour profile a more rounded experience. The ageing of the spirit in this bottle was concluded with the final few years in a Marsala wood finish, a cask used previously to make Marsala wine. Once opened the aromas of lime, vanilla and smoke are prominent, the palate is fruity with banana in the lead, some medicine, vanilla, and black pepper with a short finish of smoke, vanilla and oak.
