Glendullan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery situated in Dufftown, Scotland, within the renowned Speyside region. The distillery is currently owned by Diageo, a global leader in beverage alcohol.
Glendullan distillery was founded in 1897 by Aberdeen blender and broker William Williams. In 1925, Williams merged with Greenlees Brothers, and the company was subsequently absorbed into The Distillers Company (DCL) in 1926.
In 1972, a second distillery was constructed adjacent to the original site. Both distilleries operated simultaneously until the original plant was closed in 1985. Following the merger of Guinness plc (owner of The Distillers Company) and Grand Metropolitan in 1997, Glendullan became part of the newly formed company, Diageo.
The water source for Glendullan distillery is the Conval Hill springs. The distillery features three wash stills and three spirit stills. Most of Glendullan's output is used in Diageo's blended whiskies, though there have been several official single malt releases over the years. Notably, a 12-year-old expression was part of the now-discontinued Flora and Fauna range. In 2023, Diageo released a new series of Glendullan single malts under The Singleton brand, which includes 12, 15, and 18-year-old variants.
