Distilled on the Isle of Islay in 2011, this Ardbeg single cask embodies the distillery’s renowned character – a powerful interplay of smoky peat, reminiscent of tar and soot, beautifully balanced by bright citric notes. Matured exclusively in a first-fill bourbon cask (#2198) for seven years, it develops a rich, oily texture and a robust 60.2% ABV. This expression showcases Ardbeg’s signature style, hinting at the influence of modern maturation techniques while remaining true to its Islay heritage.
