Born on the windswept shores of Islay, Ardbeg Eureka! celebrates 25 years of the Ardbeg Committee with a uniquely balanced expression of the distillery’s iconic character. This whisky marries the distillery’s signature intensely smoky, sooty notes with the rich sweetness of PX Sherry and the influence of roasted malt matured in bourbon casks. ‘Operation Smokescreen’, a fascinating experiment involving Ardbeg enthusiasts, guided the creation of this spirit, resulting in a complex profile boasting citric undertones and a satisfyingly oily mouthfeel. Bottled in October 2024 at 52.2% ABV, Eureka! represents a moment of discovery in Ardbeg’s ongoing pursuit of flavour perfection.
