About this whisky
- Region:
From the legendary Ardbeg distillery, established on Islay in 1815, comes a whisky deeply rooted in its rugged coastal origins. This expression showcases Ardbeg’s hallmark profile: a powerful, smoky character reminiscent of tar and soot, beautifully balanced by bright citric notes and a rich, oily texture. Matured in a combination of bourbon, first-fill, and refill sherry casks, it offers a complex interplay of flavors reflecting both tradition and innovative spirit. Bottled in 2014, this release also carries a noble history, originally created to support the Kildalton Project and fragile communities across the Scottish Highlands, named for the ancient Kildalton cross on Islay’s shores. At 46% ABV, it delivers a full-bodied and intensely satisfying Islay experience.
