Born on the shores of Loch Sunart in the West Highlands, Ardnamurchan distillery began production in 2014, quickly establishing itself as a beacon of modern, sustainable whisky-making. Utilizing locally sourced malt from Broomhill Farm, Ardnamurchan crafts both peated and unpeated expressions, matured in a diverse range of casks including American and European oak, alongside ex-Sherry and ex-Bourbon barrels. This careful maturation yields a complex spirit, offering a balance of rich fruit notes and subtle smoky undertones. Bottled at 46.8% ABV, Ardnamurchan represents a distinctly Highland character with a commitment to environmental responsibility.
