Distilled on Islay in October 2002 at the Bruichladdich distillery, this Octomore represents a bold expression of heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky. Crafted from Optic barley with a remarkable PPM of 80.5, it delivers an intense smoky character deeply rooted in its Islay origins. Matured exclusively in a first-fill Buffalo Trace Bourbon cask and bottled in April 2008, expect a rich and complex flavour profile with notes of sweet vanilla alongside the signature Octomore peat smoke. This particular bottling, number 3005, offers a unique glimpse into the distillery’s experimental spirit.
