From the remote northeast coast of Islay, this Bunnahabhain was distilled in 2004 and bottled for the 2017 Feis Ile festival, showcasing the distillery’s unique character. Initially matured for ten years in refill bourbon hogsheads, the spirit gains a rich complexity through a three-year finish in Port pipes, imparting notes of red fruit and sweetness. Despite Bunnahabhain’s traditionally lighter style, this expression features a subtle peat influence, balanced by the distillery’s signature smooth texture and the warming influence of its 55.6% ABV. The result is a layered and rewarding single malt, reflecting both the coastal origins and careful maturation of this Islay whisky.
