From the remote northeast coast of Islay, this Bunnahabhain was distilled in 2013 and matured for seven years, showcasing the distillery’s unique coastal character. Originally built in 1881 with a vision for island production, Bunnahabhain is known for its unusually light style of malt, achieved through large stills with ample copper interaction. This particular expression gains a rich complexity from finishing in Bordeaux wine casks, imparting notes of red fruit and wine-soaked oak alongside the distillery’s subtle maritime influence. Bottled at cask strength (59.5% ABV), it offers a powerful and flavourful experience of Islay’s spirit.
