Distilled in December 1975, this 48-year-old Carsebridge is a rare expression from a historic grain distillery originally founded in 1799. Once Scotland’s largest grain distillery, Carsebridge ceased production in 1983 and was later demolished, leaving only its historic house standing. Matured for nearly five decades in a refill bourbon hogshead (cask 161077), this whisky offers a uniquely delicate and fragrant character. Bottled in October 2024 at 45.3% ABV, it presents a captivating glimpse into a lost era of Scottish distilling, limited to just 202 bottles.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from auctions, ballots, and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
