Distilled in November 2009 at the Glengoyne Distillery, this 14-year-old whisky matured exclusively in a single Madeira hogshead, cask #1019, imparting a unique character to the spirit. Named ‘Bard’ in homage to poet Frank Noble Wood, this bottling offers a taste reflective of its artistic inspiration – expect rich fruit notes layered with subtle spice. The influence of the Madeira cask lends a distinctive sweetness and depth, creating a complex and memorable flavour profile. Bottled in February 2023, this is a rare expression of Glengoyne’s Highland heritage.
