Crafted using a higher proportion of pot still whiskey, this expression delivers a robust and complex character, a departure from the lighter styles traditionally associated with Jameson. Expect a full-bodied flavour profile with notes of dark chocolate, spice, and toasted wood, culminating in a warm and lingering finish. Though production moved to the modern Midleton Distillery in County Cork, Black Barrel honours the legacy of Jameson’s original spirit.
