Kilchoman 100% Islay Inaugural Release

Kilchoman’s Inaugural Release marks a historic moment – the first whisky distilled, matured, and made entirely from Islay-grown barley on the island in modern times. Established in 2005, Kilchoman revived distilling traditions in a region with roots stretching back to the earliest days of Scotch whisky production, potentially as far as the 14th century. This 3-year-old single malt, matured exclusively in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels, delivers a surprisingly complex character for its age. Expect a robust and youthful spirit with notes of sweet grain, balanced by a subtle peat smoke and the warm spice imparted by the bourbon cask, bottled at a powerful 50% ABV.
