From the famed Lagavulin Distillery on Islay, this 24-year-old single cask whisky was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2016 as part of the distillery’s 200th Anniversary celebrations. Rooted in a history of illicit production dating back before 1816, Lagavulin is renowned for its powerfully smoky character, layered with earthy notes and savoury depth. Matured exclusively in a single Oloroso Sherry butt, this expression delivers a rich and complex flavour profile at 52.7% ABV. A rare bottling – just 522 were produced – it showcases Lagavulin at its most exceptional, embodying the signature Islay style with added Sherry-oak influence.
