About this whisky
- Region:
Born from the fertile lands of South Ayrshire, Lochlea Distillery carries a rich history – its barley fields once tilled by Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns. Inaugurated in 2018 under the guidance of former Laphroaig manager John Campbell, Lochlea champions a ‘field to cask’ philosophy, resulting in a uniquely expressive spirit. This inaugural release offers an elegant and fruity character, matured in a compelling combination of first-fill Bourbon and PX Sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, it presents a taste of progressive whisky-making from this independent, family-owned distillery.
