Longrow originates from Campbeltown, a region once renowned as the ‘Whisky Capital of the World’, and represents a fascinating experiment in mainland peat-smoked single malt production. Distilled by Springbank since 1973, Longrow sought to replicate the character of Islay whiskies despite its mainland location, proving remarkably successful. This expression is a complex blend of whiskies matured between 6 and 14 years, drawing flavour from a diverse range of casks – sherry, port, bourbon, and rum. The result is a robust and flavourful dram, offering a rich tapestry of sweet fruit, spice, and a distinctive smoky finish.
