Port Charlotte Valinch SHC:01 is a powerfully elegant single malt, born from heavily peated barley – around 40ppm – and distilled in Bruichladdich’s unique tall stills. This 11-year-old whisky is a tribute to the original Port Charlotte distillery, Lochindaal, which ceased production in 1929, representing one of the first spirits revived by Murray McDavid in 2001. Matured exclusively in a first-fill sherry cask (number 2134), it’s bottled at a robust cask strength of 62.9% ABV, offering a uniquely individual character with each release. Expect a rich and smoky experience, reflecting both its Islay origins and the influence of the sherry oak.
