The Islay distillery famed for its exclusives, Bunnahabhain has released a lot of variations of Bunnahabhain 2003. This one was matured in sherry casks and bottled at natural strength. The nose is malty with strong sherry notes and slight saltiness. The taste is slightly bitter with hints of seaweed and a few tannic notes, in the end, topped off with a medium length, surprisingly sweet and woody finish. Bunnahabhain 2003 is an unusual dram, to say the least, but it offers a unique aroma and flavour palette. There were only 305 bottles in this exclusive collection, so try it while you can!
