Founded in 1881 on the spectacular island of Islay, This unique distillery has been producing whisky for the seafarers to take away, relying solely on sea trade for supplies and distribution, This is very evident for Bunnahbhain as even on their bottles is the seafarer finding his way on the rugged seas. This 18 year old XVIII is unique to the Bunnahabhain collection because it is devoid of peat smoke so characteristic of Bunnahabhain. Once opened the aromas of roasted nuts, orange peel, wild cherry, and leather reach your nose, the palate is of cinnamon, burnt raisins, figs, walnuts and leather with a medium length finish of malt, oak, and roasted coffee.
