Crawfords 12 Year Old Five Star

Well respected in the Scotch whisky industry Crawfords five star whisky was always considered a good value blend with a crisp grain heaven freshness. Not over packaged, this whisky was just what the local Scots wanted with quality substance regardless of style. The five star age statement variant was only bottled before the 1980s and has since been discontinued and is a rare find. Whiffs of smoke are the main greet of the nose and a slight undertone of liquorice, the palate is odd smokey chocolate, relatively smooth but also acidic with a short finish of burnt chocolate.
