Kilchoman 2006 Vintage

Kilchoman is a small, independent distillery located on the west coast of Islay, Scotland. Founded in 2005, it is one of the youngest distilleries on the island but has quickly established a reputation for producing high-quality single malt whiskies. Kilchoman's whiskies are known for their rich, peaty flavours and complex aromas, resulting from the distillery's use of traditional production methods and locally sourced barley. The 2006 Vintage has two bottling one numbered and the other not. This bottle is not numbered. Once opened the aroma of peat smoke and herbs is first to catch your nose, followed by lemon, cooked fruit, and Christmas cake. the palate is chocolate, butterscotch, citrus, and popcorn with a medium long finish of chocolate, apple, sea salt and peat smoke.
