Strathisla 12 Year Old (1990s Edition)

Known as the oldest operating distillery in Scotland, the majority of its produce ends up with Chivas Regals blends, but a small fraction does get through to become single malts and holds its title with respect, Chivas even refers to the Strathisla whisky as its ‘heart’. This bottling was Strathisla’s bottling in the late 2000s but has since changed again. Once opened the aromas of blueberry jam, cookie dough, and autumn leaves, the palate is of lime, oak, malt and honey, with a short finish of nuts and oak.
