Ardbeg – An Oa

Born on the windswept shores of Islay, Ardbeg An Oa is a testament to the distillery’s artful maturation process, first released in 2017 after a decade of refinement. This whisky draws its character from a unique mingling within Ardbeg’s Gathering Vat, uniting spirits matured in Pedro Ximenez, charred oak, and ex-bourbon casks. The result is a complex interplay of Ardbeg’s signature smoky peat, balanced by notes of rich dark chocolate and a hint of aniseed. A smooth, silky texture carries flavors of butterscotch and spice, culminating in a powerful and lasting finish of black pepper and clove.
