About this whisky
- Region:
Distilled in December 1975, this 48-year-old Carsebridge is a rare expression from a historic grain distillery originally founded in 1799 near Glasgow. Once Scotland’s largest grain distillery, Carsebridge ceased production in 1983 and was later demolished, leaving only its historic house standing. Matured for decades in a refill bourbon hogshead (cask 161077), this whisky offers a uniquely delicate and fragrant character. Bottled in October 2024 at 45.3% ABV, it presents a captivating glimpse into a lost era of Scottish distilling, limited to just 202 bottles.
