Distilled on the Highland/Lowland border, Glengoyne 18 Year Old embodies a unique character shaped by its dual terroir. Founded in 1833, the distillery meticulously crafts an unpeated spirit, relying on exceptionally slow distillation and a dedication to sherry cask maturation. Glengoyne personally selects Spanish oak, air-drying it for two years before utilizing it to season Oloroso sherry, imparting rich, fruity notes to the whisky. The result is a complex and rewarding dram, offering a smooth, full-bodied experience with flavours of dried fruit, toffee, and a hint of spice at 43% ABV.
