Distilled in October 2008, this Macallan 16 Year Old matured exclusively in ex-Oloroso sherry butts, imparting a rich and deeply fruity character. Bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as release 24.188 and aptly named ‘Flamenco Fruitcake’, it offers a complex profile of dried fruits and spice. Expect notes of raisin, fig, and cinnamon, characteristic of Macallan’s Speyside heritage and the influence of its sherry cask maturation.
