GlenAllechie 2009 Single Cask #5856 12 Years Old (70cl, 58%)

Founded in 1967 GlenAllachie distillery started by producing whisky for blends including in later years for Chivas Brothers. In 2017 the distillery was sold to Master Distillers Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and ex-Inver House Distillers MD Graham Stevenson who formed the GlenAllachie Distillers company and started bottling single malts which are well known for their fruity expressions. This bottle is unique in that the whisky was matured in a Marsala white wine barrel, the official tasting notes are as follows, nose- butterscotch, heather honey, toffee, tropical fruit and sultanas, the palate- caramel, syrup, grapefruit, heather honey, mocha and Demerara sugar.
