Distilled in 2009 at the Scapa Distillery – founded in 1885 on the Orkney Islands – this 12-year-old single malt showcases a unique character shaped by the distillery’s history and innovative still design. Once famed as Orkney’s unpeated malt, Scapa utilizes a Lomond still, modified to emulate traditional pot still distillation while imparting a distinctive oily texture. The resulting spirit offers a delicate balance, hinting at coastal breezes and a subtle sweetness, matured to 48.2% ABV and bottled in 2022.
