Distinct from the contemporary 12-year-old, this decanter is a piece of history that was available in two presentations; this luxury version and a regular 1-liter bottle bearing a QE2 label for those with a tighter budget. The nose reveals delightful notes of vanilla and coconut, complemented by hints of raisins. It is invitingly soft and accessible. The palate continues with creamy fusion of vanilla and coconut, enhanced with undertones of dried fruits, and a slight zing of ginger. The finish, while not prolonged, is gentle and pleasantly sweet.
