Cailleachs meaning in Gaelic is old hag or just old woman but in Gaelic folklore, the Cailleach is Devine ancestor that is the creator of landscapes and the controller of the weather (specifically stormy winter weather). In Scotland the Cailleach is known as the ‘Beira, Queen of the Winter' and this Cailleach 30 year old is as majestic as ‘Beira’. The warm smooth personality of Speyside region is reflected both in palate and intensity with aromas of honey heather blossom and allspice, the palate is caramel with fruitcake and allspice and a short finish of allspice and smoke.
