Ardbeg – 1974 Provenance 1st Release is a single malt whisky from Ardbeg (Islay). Aged 23 years, bottled at 55.60% ABV, 70cl. Matured in bourbon casks.
This is one of the four legendary Ardbeg Provenance bottlings, distilled in 1974 and released between 1997 and 2000.
This first release was available in the UK, EU and Asian markets.
A distillery located on the south coast of the Isle of Islay. It is currently part of the Scotch whisky holdings of LVMH. Despite being closed twice in the latter 20th century, the distillery's heavily-peated single malt has always been highly-regarded.
