Ardbeg – 1975 is a single malt whisky from Ardbeg (Islay). Bottled at 43.00% ABV, 70cl. The lack of depth in the Ardbeg warehouses following the Glenmorangie PLC takeover in 1997 made finding a core range for the distillery a challenge. Its first age statement was a generous 17-year-old and these 1975 vintages were bottled between 1998 and 2001. A distillery located on the south coast of the Isle of Islay. It is currently part of the Scotch whisky holdings of LVMH. Despite being closed twice in the latter 20th century, the distillery's heavily-peated single malt has always been highly-regarded.
