Ardbeg – 1980 Kildalton (70cl, 57.6%)

Ardbeg – 1980 Kildalton is a single malt whisky from Ardbeg (Islay). Bottled at 57.6% ABV, 70cl. Released in 2004, this was a combination of unusual non-peated Ardbeg and lightly-peated Ardbeg. It is known that these experimental distillations took place between 1979 and 1981. A distillery located on the south coast of the Isle of Islay. It is currently part of the Scotch whisky holdings of LVMH. Despite being closed twice in the latter 20th century, the distillery's heavily-peated single malt has always been highly-regarded.
