Ardbeg – 1999 Galileo is a single malt whisky from Ardbeg (Islay). Aged 12 years, bottled at 49% ABV, 70cl. Matured in marsala wine casks finish.
Released in September 2012, the Ardbeg Galileo quickly sold out at retailers. Aged for 12-13 years, it is a combination of whiskies matured in first-fill bourbon casks and enhanced with a finishing period in ex-Marsala wine casks.
A distillery located on the south coast of the Isle of Islay. It is currently part of the Scotch whisky holdings of LVMH. Despite being closed twice in the latter 20th century, the distillery's heavily-peated single malt has always been highly-regarded.
