Ardbeg – 2000 Vintage_Y2K 23 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Ardbeg (Islay). Aged 23 years, bottled at 46.00% ABV, 70cl. Matured in sherry.
Bottled in 2023 and released in 2024, the Vintage_Y2k is a limited edition expression playing upon the Millennium bug scare of the year of its distillation. It was distilled in 2000 and matured in a combination of bourbon casks and oloroso sherry casks for 23 years.
A distillery located on the south coast of the Isle of Islay. It is currently part of the Scotch whisky holdings of LVMH. Despite being closed twice in the latter 20th century, the distillery's heavily-peated single malt has always been highly-regarded.
