Ardbeg – Ardcore (70cl, 50.1%)

Ardbeg – Ardcore is a single malt whisky from Ardbeg (Islay). Bottled at 50.1% ABV, 70cl. Ardcore was an experimental release that was produced using heavily-roasted barley. This resulted in a taste profile of heavy peat and dark chocolate. A distillery located on the south coast of the Isle of Islay. It is currently part of the Scotch whisky holdings of LVMH. Despite being closed twice in the latter 20th century, the distillery's heavily-peated single malt has always been highly-regarded.
