Ardbeg – Ardcore is a single malt whisky from Ardbeg (Islay). Bottled at 46.00% ABV, 70cl. Ardcore was an experimental release was produced using heavily-roasted barley. This resulted in a taste profile of heavy peat and dark chocolate. It was released in May 2022. A distillery located on the south coast of the Isle of Islay. It is currently part of the Scotch whisky holdings of LVMH. Despite being closed twice in the latter 20th century, the distillery's heavily-peated single malt has always been highly-regarded.
