Ardbeg – Auriverdes (70cl, 49.9%)

Ardbeg – Auriverdes is a single malt whisky from Ardbeg (Islay). Bottled at 49.9% ABV, 70cl. Matured in bourbon casks with toasted heads. Auriverdes is a Portuguese term created by the combination of auri, meaning "gold" and verde, meaning "green." The word is commonly used in reference to the national flag, or as a nickname for many of their sports teams on account of their uniforms. Coincidentally, these are also the brand colours of Ardbeg distillery. A distillery located on the south coast of the Isle of Islay. It is currently part of the Scotch whisky holdings of LVMH. Despite being closed twice in the latter 20th century, the distillery's heavily-peated single malt has always been highly-regarded.
