Ardbeg – Guaranteed 30 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Ardbeg – Guaranteed 30 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Ardbeg (Islay). Aged 30 years, bottled at 40% ABV, 70cl. Now highly sought-after, these "guaranteed" age statement releases were bottled from the late 1970s until the early 1990s, with the last bottles sold at the Laphroaig gift shop before parent firm, Allied Distillers, sold Ardbeg on to Glenmorangie in 1997. This 30-year-old release was limited to only 29 casks and was bottled at Laphroaig. It was the last Ardbeg bottling produced by Allied Distillers before the distillery's sale. A distillery located on the south coast of the Isle of Islay. It is currently part of the Scotch whisky holdings of LVMH. Despite being closed twice in the latter 20th century, the distillery's heavily-peated single malt has always been highly-regarded.
