The Smugglers’ Series Vol. I ‘The Illicit Stills’ pays homage to Arran's illicit whisky production during the 18th and 19th centuries. This is the first edition of the trilogy released in 2015
This whisky was carefully crafted with both peated and unpeated spirits and matured in a combination of port pipes, sherry hogsheads, and traditional whisky barrels. Despite its relatively heavy nature, it balances out its peatiness with pleasant fruity notes. One of only 8700 released, it’s most certainly worth a try.
