Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood

Born in the heart of Speyside at the Balvenie distillery, founded by the Grant family in Dufftown, this 12 Year Old DoubleWood showcases a uniquely honeyed and subtly smoky spirit. Matured initially in traditional Bourbon casks, it’s then ‘finished’ in Sherry casks – a pioneering process introduced in 1993 – imparting rich notes of dried fruit and warm spice. The result is a beautifully balanced single malt, offering a smooth and approachable character with a lingering sweetness. This expression represents Balvenie’s commitment to traditional techniques, including the continued, though limited, use of on-site maltings.
