Balvenie – Signature 12 Year Old Batch #4 is a single malt whisky from Balvenie (Speyside). Aged 12 years, bottled at 40.00% ABV, 70cl. Matured in bourbon & sherry casks. This is the fourth batch of the Signature which David Stewart crafted to mark his 45th year in the whisky industry. Matured in the three most traditional cask types: first-fill bourbon, refill bourbon and sherry. When it was launched in 2007, this was intended as a replacement for the Founder's Reserve, which was then phased out. The series only spanned five batches however, the last of these appearing in 2013. A highly-regarded malt distillery in Speyside and the second built by William Grant & Sons. The distillery is still owned by the company today its brand has been nurtured to become one of the most recognisable and sought-after single malts in the world.
