Bladnoch – 1990 28 Year Old Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength is a whisky from Bladnoch (Lowland). Aged 28 years, bottled at 48.7% ABV, 70cl. Connoisseurs Choice is one of the most easily recognised ranges from the independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail. This range was launched by George Urquhart - one of the first of four generations of the family to build Gordon & MacPhail - back in the 1960s; a period where most malts were used in blends so this was quite an unusual move for the company. Perhaps due to the popularity surrounding blends, this range did well as the exception by showcasing some distilleries which had never before been bottled as single malts and thus, it has proved to be a hit for more than 35 years. Bladnoch This Bladnoch dram has a light vanilla and subtly sweet lemon palate with the freshness of summer grass and a citrus zest to invigorate the sleepy dram, allowing the coconut and apricot their moment in the sun.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
