Bruichladdich – 1990 Sherry Cask Edition 25 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Bruichladdich (Islay). Aged 25 years, bottled at 48.10% ABV, 70cl. Matured in oloroso & PX sherry casks. This 1990 vintage Bruichladdich was conceived from two distinct batches of Islay whisky. One matured in first-fill bourbon for 17 years, a French wine cask for 5 years and PX sherry casks for 4 years. The second batch was matured in a refill sherry butt for 18 years before being finished in oloroso sherry casks for a remaining 7 years. A single malt distillery on the isle of Islay, currently part of the whisky holdings of French company, Rémy Cointreau. The distillery's flagship brand of single malt is a non-peated style, however it also produces peated variants called Port Charlotte and Octomore, as well as The Botanist gin.
