Bruichladdich – 2001 PHD_135 15 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Bruichladdich (Islay). Aged 15 years, bottled at 50.00% ABV, 70cl. Matured in virgin oak cask finish. This Fèis Ìle release is a vatting of casks that had been filled in 2001, the first year of the reopening of Bruichladdich. The malt was peated to 10ppm, then matured for fourteen years in first fill bourbon, sherry and French wine casks then finished in virgin oak. A single malt distillery on the isle of Islay, currently part of the whisky holdings of French company, Rémy Cointreau. The distillery's flagship brand of single malt is a non-peated style, however it also produces peated variants called Port Charlotte and Octomore, as well as The Botanist gin.
