Distilled in December 1975, this 48-year-old Carsebridge is a rare expression from a historic grain distillery originally founded in 1799. Once Scotland’s largest grain distillery, Carsebridge ceased production in 1983 and was later demolished, leaving only its historic house standing as a testament to its legacy. Matured for nearly five decades in a refill bourbon hogshead (cask 161077), this whisky offers a uniquely delicate and fragrant character. Bottled in October 2024 at 45.3% ABV, it presents a captivating glimpse into a lost era of Scottish distilling, limited to just 202 bottles.
