Founded in Edinburgh in 1983 by Phillip 'Pip' Hills comes The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. His passion for whisky started when he was travelling around the country in the 70s. After which, it took his little time to purchase his first cask with a group of friends. Many years later, the syndicate was purchased by Glenmorangie PLC.
This Glen Moray was distilled on the 17th of May 2001 and bottled 16 years later from a Refill Butt/Ex-Sherry Cask. There were only 588 bottles released under their title of 'Hot Apple And Cinnamon Sponge'.
