Glenfarclas – 1968 The Family Casks Special Release - My Tribute is a single malt whisky from Glenfarclas (Speyside). Aged 44 years, bottled at 54.40% ABV, 70cl. Matured in gonzalez Byass sherry hogshead.
This whisky was distilled in 1968 and bottled from sherry cask #5241 in February 2012. One of 175 bottles exclusively selected by Luc Timmermans and originally presented in a My Tribute gift box with two crystal glasses and a book.
Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit.
