Glenfarclas – Celebrating Our 175th Anniversary - The Anniversary Ceilidh is a single malt whisky from Glenfarclas (Speyside). Bottled at 55.50% ABV, 70cl. Matured in sherry cask. A very rare single sherry cask of Glenfarclas, specially selected by the directors to celebrate the 175th anniversary ceilidh held at the distillery on 20th May 2011. According to distillery staff, there cannot be many of the 200 left as 58 were opened on the night, 38 went to staff and 40 to overseas distributors who attended the event. Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit.
